TOWERS, be careful! Earlier this year a safety campaign called Tow First was launched, asking towers to pledge NOT to change tires on the side of interstates, turnpikes, and parkways. Tow First’s primary goal is to save lives. State associations can help us accomplish that goal.
Changing tires on the side of roadways is extremely hazardous. The inability to see traffic inhibits our ability to move quickly if needed. Drivers are pledging to tow vehicles to a safe location before changing tires. Many companies already have Tow First as their company policy. Take the pledge and be safe!
